Information based on current research for Taiwan residents wishing to live and work in Canada.
Taiwan citizens can apply for the Working Holiday (IEC), Employer-Specific, or LMIA-Exempt permits. Taiwan residents aged 18-35 are eligible for the Working Holiday program. Canada and Taiwan enjoy strong people-to-people ties, leading to streamlined processes for talent migration.
For Taiwan citizens aged 18-35. Allows you to work and travel in Canada for up to 12 months. Requires selection from the pool via an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
The federal points-based (CRS) system for professional workers. Ideal for candidates with professional experience in high-demand fields like tech or finance.
For skilled workers who have the education and skills to contribute to the economy of a specific province (e.g., British Columbia, Ontario).
Create an online profile with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and enter the pool of candidates.
Wait for an invitation to apply. If your CRS score is high enough or you're drawn for IEC, you will be invited.
Complete the online form, upload docs, and book biometrics at a collection point.
Upon approval, you will receive a Port of Entry (POE) Letter of Introduction. Show this to the border officer on arrival.
