Hong Kong residents (holding HKSAR or BNO passports) have access to the Working Holiday Visa, the Red-White-Red Card, and the EU Blue Card. The Working Holiday scheme has a strict annual quota of 100.
Points-based permit for skilled workers. Scores are calculated from education, work experience, age, and German/English skills.
Allows HK youth (18-30) to work and travel in Austria for up to 1 year. Annual quota: 100 places. First-come, first-served.
For highly qualified professionals with a degree and a high local salary offer (approx €66,000+ per year).
Submit your application at the Austrian Consulate General in Hong Kong.
The application is sent to Austria for verification of points and labor market conditions by the AMS.
Upon approval, you receive a Visa D entry visa from the Consulate General.
Collect your Red-White-Red Card from the residence authority (Magistrat/BH) in Austria after arrival.
