Available Visa Types for Austrian Citizens

Austrian citizens can apply for the Work and Holiday Visa (Subclass 462), TSS (482), or various skilled visas. The 462 visa allows for a 12-month work/travel stay.

Work and Holiday (462)

For Austrian citizens aged 18-30. Allows you to work and travel for up to 12 months. Requires at least a high school diploma equivalent.

Short Stay Specialist

Subclass 400. For undertaking short-term, highly specialized work in Australia.

Employer sponsorship & nomination (for TSS/400)

Proof of qualifications and relevant experience

English language proficiency (IELTS/PTE if required)

Health (Medical) & Character (Police) clearance

Typical Process

Determine Visa Type

Employer Submission

If applicable, your Australian employer lodges sponsorship and nomination details online.

Visa Application

Submit your application via ImmiAccount. Provide biometrics at an AVAC if requested.

Grant & Travel

The visa is granted electronically after health/character checks. Processing can take 1-4 months.
